It's —so at this point, you've definitely seen a pic of Kim Kardashian in the buff. But despite her literal "break the internet" fame, she's not the only celeb who's baring it all. Others, from Emily Ratajkowski to Ashley Graham and Celine Dion, have starred in their own stunning nude photo shoots. Some of these women posed nude to make a statement about society's definition of beauty. Being comfortable with her sexuality took time, Halle told Vogue in her cover interview. The majority of nudes in major art museums are female, and male nudity tends to earn movies R ratings while naked women are deemed PG By disproportionately displaying female nudity, we're left with the cultural impression that men should look and women should be looked at. A new photography book by NYC-based author and artist Abigail Ekue is here to dismantle that stereotype, playing with concepts of masculinity, vulnerability and the female gaze. Bare Men features images of men, young and old, with all sorts of body types, in their natural state. In advance of a pop-up exhibit for the book opening today in Brooklyn, we spoke with Ekue about the motivations behind her project and the double standard for how we view naked bodies. See Ekue's images in the gallery below and read on for our interview. I wanted to add male nudes to my portfolio.

The Me Too or MeToo movement , with variations of related local or international names, is a social movement against sexual abuse and sexual harassment where people publicize allegations of sex crimes. Similar to other social justice and empowerment movements based upon breaking silence, the purpose of "Me Too", as initially voiced by Burke as well as those who later adopted the tactic, is to empower women through empathy and solidarity through strength in numbers, especially young and vulnerable women, by visibly demonstrating how many women have survived sexual assault and harassment, especially in the workplace. Following the exposure of the widespread sexual-abuse allegations against Harvey Weinstein in early October , the movement began to spread virally as a hashtag on social media. Widespread media coverage and discussion of sexual harassment, particularly in Hollywood, led to high-profile firings, as well as criticism and backlash. After millions of people started using the phrase and hashtag in this manner in English, the expression began to spread to dozens of other languages.
